Along with providing direct financial coaching, Neighborhood Trust also provides training, technical assistance and consulting services to various institutions looking to offer financial coaching to their constituents. Our training programs are based on over 20 years of experience in delivering first-in-class financial empowerment services to low- and moderate-income households. Our training and technical assistance work reflects our high quality and strong track record, and we are a recognized national leader in the financial inclusion field.
Through our training, consulting, and technical assistance partnerships, we continue to drive the evolution of financial empowerment services by weaving behavioral economics insights into our coaching model and delivering a proven combination of trusted financial guidance coupled with connection to safe, affordable financial products to make recommendations actionable.
Pathways to Financial Empowerment
Through the Pathways program, the largest application of our technical assistance services, we partner with the credit union advocacy network Inclusiv to train community development credit unions (CDCUs) nationwide to provide financial coaching to their members. By offering this service in community-development financial institutions, credit unions are able to seamlessly link trusted guidance to socially responsible products that help their members to reach their goals.
Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund
We also provide technical assistance to a number of municipal governments throughout the country via our partnership with the CFE Fund, a nonprofit that works with city governments to improve the financial wellbeing of their low and moderate-income residents. We assist the CFE Fund in training coaches at professionally-staffed Financial Empowerment Centers (FEC) across the country, modeled after the FEC program in New York City.
